1.Our commitment
REMIE Australia (REMIE) is Australia's pioneer outsourcing company dedicated to remote (virtual) healthcare assisting services. We outsource qualified healthcare professionals in the Philippines to assist healthcare providers in Australia and help resolve the shortage of in-office staff through remote assisting. We call our remote assistant(s), Remie(s).
REMIE wants to ensure that on the launch of our company, we issue a statement on the Modern Slavery Act 2018 to make sure that our business and operations are compliant. REMIE is not required to report under this Act, however we believe that basic human rights and the wellbeing of our Remies are the top priority. That's why our Policies and Procedures are created with our Remies in mind, as indicated in our "REMIE Human Resources Policy & Procedure Manual".
REMIE does not condone modern slavery and makes sure that violation of human rights does not have any place in this company.
We ensure that before REMIE launched, we asked for advice from the Remies themselves on what salary is appropriate, what benefits they want, what working conditions they would want us to ensure, and other recommendations. This group discussion helped us build the system that REMIE has now, and with the guidance from our Remies we are confident to say that these recommendations are from the Remies, for the Remies.
